Do I have to back up my iPod before I update it?
i want to update my ipod, but the backup always takes about 6 hours for me itunes is updating my ipod right now but the automatic backup has been taking hours if i cancel the sync from my ipod will the update still install (and the backup stop), or is the backup first mandatory?

WinXP Login Registry Problem (the perfect storm)?
So this is basically the perfect storm of computer related problems. I got a piece of malware called Antimalware doctor, im not sure if thats all that I got but its the main one that has showed up, it showed up and edited some registry files and so i turned off my computer and then tried to log back in but it wouldnt let me, so my brother helped me and booted it off of an ubuntu boot disc and replaced the registry files with the automatic backups windows creates, unfortunately, it turns out that those backups are really old like when i got my computer some 4-5 years ago, and so I logged in but all my programs went crazy because they arent in the registry and can no longer access files or open themselves, and windows System Restore points were erased or something because i dont have them anymore so thats out of the question, so the only thing to get my programs to work again is to put back the corrupted registry, but this means i cant login, so my brother found a way to edit the registry from ubuntu, but he couldnt find out how to make it so i can log on again, I have no idea what to do Thank you SO MUCH in advance

Is there a way to schedule an automatic backup of an MySQL database without having to do it manually?
I have a database that I want to be able to automatically backup. Is there a way to do this internal to MySQL or do I need to buy software to do this?
