Which one of these is grammatically correct?
I'm writing a paper on the Boys from Brazil... which is grammatically correct?
His decision to go to see Wheelock without telling anyone or getting backup caused his death.
OR
His decision to go to see Wheelock, without telling anyone or getting backup, caused his death.
I can't decide if the "without...backup" part is restrictive or non-restrictive. Please give an explanation so I know you're not just picking one. My teacher is literally the biggest grammar nazi I've ever met, and she takes off an bunch of points.

Mobile phone suggestion(HTC One S vs Sony Xperia S)?
I want to buy a phone around 28-29k. I am confused between HTC One S and Sony Xperia S. For me 1)music quality, 2) battery backup and 3)camera quality are the most important things(by numbering order). I can wait for sony to come up with the xperia S in ICS(expected in May end). But I really want a good phone mostly considering point 1 and 2. Please suggest me which one should I go for . And you are also welcome to suggest me any other phone in that price range.

Are my dreams realistic?
My biggest dream of all is making something of myself through music. I don't know, but I've always gave my best potential through music. Everything is surreal and beautiful through the perspective of it. I was wondering if I could make a living out of being a guitarist and/or vocalist. I know I need a backup plan, or a plan to keep me maintained in society while I am trying to achieve such an unbelievable feat...So I wondering if I could be an english teacher in a foriegn land? Maybe Japan, since I am extremely fond of their entertainment and culture. It seems like an ideal environment (of course I would have to visit and make sure, but I've been to China already, so I might of gotten a gist of what it may be like). Do you have any ideas on how I may go about achieving such ambitions? I love to write, draw, and especially play music. I may not bea genius who could possibly compose legendary symphonies, but I can possibly be a genius at hard work, right?
