external harddrive partitioning?
Is it a good idea to partition my external harddrive and on one partition have my computer backup an on the other to have like all my media stuff ???
If i get an infected file or virus on my media partition will it affect my backup ??

How large a "deep cycle marine battery" should I get?
I am trying to provide power backup for a CPAP (breathing machine you use at night). It takes 12 Volts DC. Normally it's powered through the house current with an inverter. However, we've had a lot of power outages and also want to be able to take it camping. We've explored many options for generators, to computer backups (UPS's), but none of these seem to fill the bill exactly. We were told that a deep cycle marine battery (with appropriate attachment to get the power to the CPAP, plus a charger) may be the best option. Unfortunately, I don't quite know how these batteries are rated.
In general, here's the specs I am trying to fill: The CPAP requires 40-50 Watts, runs about 8-9 hours a night, and ideally we'd like the battery to power it for 5 nights (prefer 3 minimum). So, that would be about 50 Watts for 27 to 45 hours.
How can I find a deep cycle marine battery that could handle this?

I have my computers backup file but I am unable to restore from the backup...?
I have my computers backup file but I am unable to restore from the backup... It says there are no backups on the drive.
The drive is an external hdd.. can anyone tell me how to get around this microsoft error? or what i need to do?
