Claim against an Estate - England?
This would relate to law in England. I am an executor of an estate and I have received a claim for services supplied by a contractor, and I am disputing his charge. There was no contract with the deceased, although he claims a verbal agreement which I also question. I am aware of some work that was needed, but he has exceed his remit and gone far beyond any requirement that would have been authorised. His charge for the work he did is also excessive. He has given me an invoice typed on a word document, there is no headed paper, vat or even an invoice number, and no itemisation for the work he carried out, just "hours worked in various rooms" and a fee. I am prepared as conciliatory gesture to pay what I feel is fare and have reduced his claim accordingly. So my question is: If he gets advice from a solicitor and challenges me in a small claims court and wins. Would I have to pay the costs for the small claims court, and would I also have to pay for the advice he was previously given by his solicitor?

Help need in selling things online. regarding warranty?
Hi Friends, I am a new seller. Need some help about Invoices and Warranty. 1) If I am selling a product(eg., Bluetooth dongles, memory card readers, scratch guards, etc.) which doesn't have warranty, do I really need to ship the invoice along with the product? 3) And this is the thing in which I need more clarification from you friends. I just started to sell things and I don't own a shop or I am not a dealer. I am just a normal seller started my selling with a couple of things. So how can I sell products with warranty such as pendrives, memory cards for which warranty should be availed through the Bill or Invoice? I have to buy the item from a shop and sell here. So the warranty starts from the date I buy and how can I provide the full warranty to my buyers? If I send the original Bill(the bill which I received from shop)to the buyer the original price of the product will be known. I am kinda confused and not so clear on how to deal with this. Desperately need help from you experienced people. Only you can help me!! Waiting for your valuable replies. Thanks a ton in advance!!!

Looking for a sales program that can track inventory with a barcode scanner?
i'm looking or a sales program for our small retail shop that can make invoices for goods and track inventory with a barcode scanner, so i can print out barcodes and just scan them when i need to make an invoice. also would like to be able to easily adjust the pricing if necessary by putting in discounts on the invoice. i'd like something that's affordable so i'm not sure if a stand-alone terminal / register is the way to go so if it's something that can connect to a laptop that would be fine but, i do need a register to hold cash. currently i have a sharp xe-a106 very basic cash register.
