How do you sync an iphone for the first time to a laptop and not lose data?
I have never synced my iphone. I got my iphone from my mom cos she wanted to get a 4s. She has synced this iphone before on her laptop. How do i back up EVERYTHING in this iphone on MY laptop? Esp the apps, i dont want to lose my game data or any of the paid apps i got for free (some apps which needed to be paid were free for 1 day only, so i downloaded them). I want to update my iphone to the latest version :(

I need help regarding my unlocked iphone which I mistakenly updated to the new ios 5 and now it doesn't work!!?
My phone was bought second hand and the seller told me it was unlocked which was fine. Had it for a couple of months then all of a sudden (when plugged into my computer and running on itunes) it has a notification saying I should upgrade to ios 5 and I mistakely clicked upgrade. As soon as it had finished it said no sim installed so I tried to do a restore to make it go back by pressing the home and power button together (as you can see I have no idea what i'm doing) and it obviously restored and still says no sim installed. I know the reason it says this is because it is now no longer unlocked/jailbroken. But I have lost all my data (for some reason itunes didn't back it up for the last time!!) and I can't use the phone. Is there any options like a computer where you can go to a system restore and get it back to how it was? If not is there ANY way at all to get all my lost data back (don't care about the apps, just the notes, reminders, texts and contacts mainly!) Thanks so much in advance for any help at all :)

Will increasing the logical drive size from adding an additional drive into an array cause me to lose my data?
I have a IBM server with a 3 drive raid 5 array (Serveraid 7k) that has one logical drive and two partitions (boot and data). I added an additional physical drive in the array, how to I expand my data partition live without losing data? Will running LDM to expand the logical drive repartition/format it?
