please help....windows recovery in dell laptops...?
hey!! recently i bought a dell xps L502 model. there is a recovery on my internal hard disk created by dell and they have made a new partition named recovery for it. but i've replaced the very first window installed by company. but haven't deleted that partition. there is still recovery for my pc to restore it to the factory settings. all recovery files are hidden,i have tried folder options also. Do you how can i still recover my windows???

How do i open or convert .asd files?
i only i have the recover file how this happened? well i was doing some work and i thought i save it so i pressed the close button and like always it asked me if i wanted to save. i pressed save after it said it could not save so it said it will make a recovery. so it maid the recovery and i went and opened the recovery file and it didn't work it just gave me a message saying bla bla bla which basically said that you cant open the file. after i went to the folder where the file was and saw the file name and format. the format was .asd which i never heard of before i tried researching but i couldn't find anything. so i emailed the document to my self and now i have it at home. note: i am in school i am running windows xp i have the .asd file only at the moment the system that i have at home is osx leopard

Recovery File C too full, what do I do?
Sooo i've manage to delete windows.old, but the Recovery drive is too full still. I did disk cleanup, and i'm doing disk defragmenter now. Is that gonna help? What should I do about this??? Please help, Best answer to whoever knows. :) (Dell Inspiron laptop-Windows Vista)
